Your first visit is a chance for our team to learn about your unique pain condition and discuss your treatment path. During this appointment, you will register with our office, fill out new patient paperwork, and meet with the provider to discuss your symptoms and concerns. This will be a time to discuss any previous treatment you’ve undergone and provide us with as much information as you can about what you’ve been experiencing.

It is possible that at times some patients will be seen by a nurse practitioner instead of Dr. Goel herself. Depending on the unique situation of the patient, as well as the scheduling of any given day, the provider assigned to patients may vary. Regardless of whether you are seen by Dr. Goel or another member of our team, you can rest assured that every provider on staff is fully qualified to address your pain conditions and is highly-trained in the treatments and procedures we offer.

Depending on your symptoms and concerns, as well as the presence of prior imaging, there may be testing or imaging ordered during your first visit with us. We advise all new patients to come prepared to undergo any appropriate imaging, although it may not be necessary.

Yes, there is a consultation fee to be seen by Dr. Goel or a member of her medical staff. This fee allows us to give the necessary time to every patient in order to fully understand their unique concerns and pain conditions. If you have questions about the consultation fee, we recommend contacting our office before your visit in order to receive current pricing. You can reach us at (602) 745-2930.

It is possible that the initial consultation fee will be covered by your insurance. However, because every insurance provider and plan has their own rules and reimbursement guidelines, we recommend contacting your insurance provider to find out what your plan will cover.

If you will be paying through your insurance plan, it may be necessary to receive a referral from your primary care provider before scheduling an appointment with Dr. Goel. Because every insurance plan has unique requirements, we recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand the rules under your specific plan. If you are planning on paying outside of insurance, no referral is needed to schedule your first appointment.

In most cases, patients should expect to have a treatment plan in place after their first visit with Dr. Goel or assigned provider. This may include scheduling of any follow-up appointments, testing, or procedures. However, because every patient is unique, there may be times that we are unable to provide a treatment plan after the first visit. This may be due to additional test results needed by outside providers, or other factors unique to an individual’s situation.

Yes, there will be an office visit fee required for every appointment with Dr. Goel or assigned provider. This fee will be in addition to any other fees for testing, imagery, or procedures. If you have questions about our fees, we recommend contacting our office before your visit in order to receive current pricing. You can reach us at (602) 745-2930.

No, patients are not required to have undergone any previous treatments prior to meeting with Dr. Goel or a member of her team. However, due to the nature of many pain conditions, it is likely that most patients will have sought previous help for their symptoms. In these instances, please come prepared to discuss any prior treatments, procedures, or specialist visits.

The imaging required will vary for every patient depending on their unique symptoms. It may be possible that recent imaging from a previous appointment will be sufficient for Dr. Goel or assigned provider to develop a treatment plan. However, it may be necessary for new imaging or tests to be completed prior to developing any future treatment options.

There may be some unique situations that would prevent Dr. Goel from accepting your case. We will discuss your specific scenario during your initial consultation in order to determine whether any of these situations are applicable to you. If you have any concerns about your eligibility for treatment, we recommend contacting our office before your visit. You can reach us at (602) 745-2930.

Accepted insurances are subject to change. Please call us at (602) 745-2930 to confirm your insurance information and receive the most up-to-date insurance information. We recommend that all patients contact their insurance provider prior to their appointment to verify their specific coverage.
